| Jim Teece for Ashland School District No. 5 – Position 4 Yes, I’m running for the Ashland School Board.
I have spent a long time thinking about this opportunity and with the council of my wife, Dena and my two children, my family and my friends I have decided to run.
When I tell my friends that I have decided to run, many look at me like I’m crazy at first, and then they think through who I am and my values and my skills that I will bring to a school board and they all come to quickly realize why I chose to do so.
Many people that do not know me, question my motives. Why would I run? What is my commitment?
That is the purpose of this posting to share with you who I am and why I chose to run.
A note about this site. I stood this site up as a way for my family and friends to stay in touch electronically with my family. It has stories, pictures and comments that are not meant to be shared publicly. That being said, I had a choice when I decided to have a site for my very short campaign. I could have removed all the personal information and re-engineered it to be a campaign site, or I could leave it as is and add my page specific to the campaign and hopefully re-direct you there.
I chose to leave it as is. Feel free to look around and enjoy my family photos and life experiences if you must, but please keep in mind that the photos are not part of my campaign and are not ‘public record’. I reserve all rights to my photos and I ask that you respect my family and their privacy as you would expect me to do the same with yours.
I did not want to spend any money campaigning, so I did not stand up a separate site.

I plan on writing (blogging) about my first campaign experience here as well and regardless if I win or lose plan on keeping my information regarding the run for a school district seat up here for educational purposes so that others who think about running for school board may learn from my first hand experience.
